The No Child Left Behind legislation has vastly increased standardized tests and created a muddle of federal regulations with results opposite from their intentions. At first glance, the concept of standardized tests seems reasonable.

U.S. lawmakers are replacing No Child Left Behind the federal law seen as widely responsible for over-testing in states, with another law, the Every Student Succeeds Act which would eliminate the punishment of states that do not perform as well on standardized exams.

While having multiple children can be rewarding, many parents prefer the benefits of having just one child. Having a big family is not for everyone. For many parents, one child is the perfect amount. While there is no wrong or right amount of children to have, there are some undeniable benefits of having only one child.
