The coolest thing that happened all year – opening for Pat Benetar and Neil Giraldo at the ACL Live Moody Theater on September 23rd. They gave the best Rock n Roll show, rocked me to the bone!

Flores formed her first band, Penelope's Children, while still in high school in California. In the 1970s, Flores played the San Diego nightclub circuit and was the namesake of the alt country/cowpunk band Rosie and the Screamers. After leaving the Screamers, she joined a cowpunk all-female band called Screamin' Sirens in the 1980s.
Throughout, she released her own work. To name but a few, they include her solo debut, 1987’s Rosie Flores, 1995’s Rockabilly Filly, 1999’s Dance Hall Dreams, the acoustic live set Single Rose in 2004, 2009’s Girl of the Century and, in 2012, the aptly-named, self-produced Working Girl’s Guitar. Nov 30, 2016 · Rosie Flores has come a long way and traveled a lot of roads since her days with Warner Brothers. Over the course of almost a dozen albums, she has seamlessly blended traditional country, swing, rockabilly, punk, alt-country, blues, and rock. Four years ago she assembled the Blue Moon Jazz Quartet “to throw people off even more!” she laughs.
With Rosie Flores and The Talismen, she comes back to the place where it all started. A blend of modern musicianship and old-school influences, the Talismen project doesn't just highlight Flores' talents as a singer, songwriter, and lead guitarist. This is a proper band, featuring four musicians who've all blazed their own trails.
