- Haley Anderson: Open Water Swimming. At her first Olympic Games in 2012, Haley Anderson was inspired after watching sister Alyssa win gold in the 4x200 freestyle relay.
- Lilly King: 100 and 200 breaststroke. A two-time Olympic gold medalist, Lilly King qualified for her second Olympic Games in both breaststroke events. It was what the outspoken Indiana swimmer expected.
- Katie Ledecky: 200, 400, 800, and 1500 freestyles. Katie Ledecky qualified for Tokyo in four freestyle events — from the 200 to the 1,500 — and is a favorite to win them all.

Mar 6, 2024 · The team of swimmers that will represent the United States at the 2024 Paris Olympics will be decided at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials, held June 15-23 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The 2024 Trials will take place inside Lucas Oil Stadium, marking the largest venue ever to host the event.

- Gunnar Bentz: 200 butterfly. On his second Olympic team, 25-year-old Gunnar Bentz will have his first individual race to swim at an Olympic Games: the 200-meter butterfly.
- Caeleb Dressel: 50 and 100 freestyles, 100 butterfly, 4x100 freestyle relay. Since Michael Phelps retired from swimming after the 2016 Rio Games, Caeleb Dressel, 24, has been dubbed swimming’s next great.
- Chase Kalisz: 200 and 400 IM. Coming to Olympic trials, Olympic silver medalist Chase Kalisz, 27, was listed as an outside favorite in the 400 IM. Although he was 400 IM world champion in 2017 — swimming the third fastest 400 IM time ever in that race — he struggled at 2019 world championships, not making the final.
Jun 23, 2021 · In his Olympic debut, Michael Andrew will represent Team USA in the 100m breast, 200m IM and 50m free. At 17, he was just seconds away from joining the US team in the 2016 Olympic Trials, placing fourth in the 100m backstroke. In this year’s Trials, however, Andrew dominated with impressive times in all three events.
