The Teatro Real (Royal Theatre) is an opera house in Madrid, Spain. Located at the Plaza de Oriente, opposite the Royal Palace, and known colloquially as El Real, it is considered the top institution of the performing and musical arts in the country and one of the most prestigious opera houses in Europe.

Location. Plaza de Isabel II, in front of the Royal Palace. Schedule. Every day: 10:30am - 4:30pm (in August it is opened until 6:30pm). Price. Adults: € 7 ( US$ 7.50) (with audio guide). Youth under 26 and seniors over 65: € 6 ( US$ 6.50). Youth under 5 years old: free entrance. Transport. : Ópera (lines 2, 5 and R) and Sol (lines 1, 2 and 3).
