Sep 14, 2017 · Violent Men may not receive the attention many other Westerns do, but it's an excellent movie. In fact, I think it's far better than some Westerns that are practically household names. The strength of Violent Men doesn't lie so much in the plot or scenery as it does the cast.

An absolute gem of a film, The Violent Men has a lot going for it. This is an expansive color western, but this cast and story is noir at its core. The acting is unsurprisingly fantastic with that talent, and while the story isn't revelatory, the script itself is really good.
