To ride the cable car from the city center, plan to book round-trip travel from the Rosales station. Take the 3, 4, or 6 metro lines to the Arguelles stop, and walk west on Calle del Marqués de Urquijo until you see signs for the Teleférico. It's about 10-minutes from the metro station.
The Madrid Cable Car offers residents of Madrid and tourists the chance to fly over the Enjoy Madrid from the air (access via Pintor Rosales and Casa de Campo. Check the official website for Opening Days and Times).
The Madrid Cable car is brilliant. Its 25 minutes round trip, seats 4 people and only costs 6 euros. It crosses over the biggest urban park in Madrid, Casa De Campo. Its very scenic and surprisingly has some high points. It also crosses over the river, trainline and motorway.
