Try to open the game in a window mode ( Alt + Enter) and disable mouse grab via Settings => Options => Graphics (general) : If it's impossible to open the game in a window mode try to locate your user.cfg file (see wiki/GameDataPaths) and add the following line to it: window.mousegrabinfullscreen = "false".
