Hulagu Khan (also known as Hülegü, and Hulegu) (1217 8 February 1265) was a Mongol ruler who conquered much of Southwest Asia. The grandson of Genghis Khan and the brother of Arik Boke, Mongke and Kublai Khan, he became the first khan of the Ilkhanate of Persia.
Hulegu Khan, also known as Hülegü or Hulagu (c. 1217 – 8 February 1265), was a Mongol ruler who conquered much of Western Asia. Son of Tolui and the Keraite princess Sorghaghtani Beki, he was a grandson of Genghis Khan and brother of Ariq Böke, Möngke Khan, and Kublai Khan.

Hulagu (or Hüle'ü) was a Mongol ruler of Iran and the grandson of Genghis Khan. He was also the brother of Mangu (Möngkë), Arik Boke, and Kublai. He founded the Il-Khanid (or Ilkhanate) Dynasty. Hulagu expanded the southwestern part of the Mongol Empire to a great extent.
