He ultimately chose Sarah Brice, but did not propose.
O'Connell chose Brice to be the winner but did not propose to her and instead began a relationship. They broke up in September 2007, but got back together in 2008. However, they called it quits again in 2010. He married model and actress Anna Sophia Berglund in 2018.
