A Nintendo Account is an account that is required for using certain services from Nintendo, such as Nintendo Switch online services (including access to the Nintendo Switch eShop), off-device software purchases and the My Nintendo loyalty program. Make sure you sign in with and select the Nintendo Account you wish to use on Nintendo Switch. Once a Nintendo Account is linked to a user account, this link cannot be undone. If it is the incorrect Nintendo Account, sign out and start this process again from step 1. You will be presented with a 5-digit confirmation code.
Before you start. You will need a user account on your Nintendo Switch console. Add a new user account on Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Accounts for children (age 12 and under) must be created through the parent or guardian’s Nintendo Account before they can be linked to Nintendo Switch.
